Summary
With two master’s degrees, one in Transportation Engineering and the other in Infrastructure Planning, I can assimilate both the engineering and the planning aspect to develop sustainable transportation systems and resilient infrastructure. I have acquired both industry experiences from the Addis Ababa City Road & Transport Bureau (AARTB) and the academy experiences from the University to deal with comprehensive transportation challenges both at the city and regional level. Furthermore, I have attended several international capacity-building programs from Germany, Japan, Dubai, South Korea, and India. Besides technical expertise, I have also acquired leadership experiences from my former assignment as Head of Civil Engineering department and Division Head of Capacity Building department at the AARTB. Therefore, I strongly believe that I can contribute a lot to the planning, designing, financing, implementing, operating, and maintaining transportation systems and resilient infrastructure.
