• Participated in monitoring and evaluation of the Child Health and Mortality Prevention Surveillance (CHAMPS) project. Organising regular reports from various sections and sending them to the programme office.
• Study coordinator for ECHILIBRIST trial: reviewing and adapting the study protocol, and preparing study documents such as consent forms.
• Coordinating the scientific activities in HHR, which includes the monthly scientific meeting of HHR; updating the list of publications and other scientific outputs of HHR.
• Research governance: making sure that the ongoing research projects meet the ethical and scientific quality standards according to the study protocol.
• Led preparations to establish a Clinical Trial Unit at HHR: exploring the clinical trial's regulatory and ethical processes in Ethiopia, preparing relevant documents, and planning training.

• Coordinated the Mortality from Bacterial Infections Resistant Antibiotics (MBIRA) study [August 2021 - April 2022]: this included monitoring the clinical and laboratory data collection process and reviewing data quality, data entry, liaising with clinical staff to ensure smooth interaction, updating the principal investigators regarding the study progress and addressing any issues.
• Coordinated the Invasive Bacterial Disease (IBD) study [November 2021-September 2022]: this included training the data collectors, monitoring the data collection and its quality, liaising with clinical staff, supervising research staff working at the hospital, communicating with the laboratory, and updating the principal investigators.
• Worked on maternal and child data abstraction for the Child Health and Mortality Prevention Surveillance project. This involved synthesising maternal and/or child clinical information and recording it into an electronic database to be used for cause of death determination.

Clinical care work as a General Medical Practitioner:

• Evaluated and treated SARS-CoV2 patients at the COVID-19 treatment centre [April 2020-April 2021], under Harari Regional Health Bureau, Harar, Ethiopia.
• Coordinated the clinical activities at the COVID-19 treatment centre [April 2021-June 2021] as a medical director: this included planning and organising shifts, supervising the clinical decisions, ensuring Infection Prevention and Control protocol adherence, etc.
• Evaluated and treated paediatric patients at the outpatient department, inpatient wards and emergency room of Jugal General Hospital [June 2021-May 2022].

• I completed 12 months of internship with clinical rotations in various hospital departments, including paediatrics, obstetrics/gynaecology, surgery, emergency medicine, and anaesthesia and critical care.
• Skills gained included clinical knowledge and skills, medical procedures, patient evaluation and management, interpersonal skills, patient counselling, and teamwork in a clinical setting.
