Description :

• Working together with crew on gates so the flight and bags can leave on time to their departure.
• Searching aircraft in and out for potential dangers, securing aircraft.
• Providing the necessary services on the ground that will expedite the arrival and departure processes of aircraft, with respect to loading, unloading, cleaning, and general servicing requirements.
• Pushing out of aircraft functions, carrying and operate a radio is required to operate an airline computer system or baggage scanners as required.
• Reading and interpreting aircraft weight and balance loading instructions, hazardous material identification labels, aircraft manifests, and baggage and cargo routing tags.
• Ensuring aircraft was clean and prepared for flight with provisions on board for the safety and comfort of the passengers.
• Making sure bags also get from plane to the baggage area making sure their scan.
• Marshaling in the aircraft, off-loading and on-loading baggage, cleaning the inside of the aircraft, servicing the lavatories and pushing the aircraft back.
• Communicating with pilots/flight crews, dispatching and airport operations on a daily basis.
• Responsible for the safe calculation of aircraft weight and balance, using fuel amounts, baggage counts, and passenger weights.
• Complying with all feral, state, municipal, airport authority, and carrier security requirements.
• Responsible for maintaining the safety and security of the ramp at all times.
• Delivering passenger luggage to claim area and unloading unto conveyor system.
• Transferring cargo (including luggage) to other gates, other airlines and to passengers.

Description :

• Directing, assisting and parking all arriving, departing and towed aircraft in accordance with safety policy and procedures.
• Performing wing walker duties to protect the aircraft wing from equipment in the path of pushback and maintaining visual contact with the pushback driver to alert the driver of any danger.
• Lifting, loading/unloading, sorting and transferring passenger baggage, airmail, freight and company material in and out of aircraft bins, belt loader or baggage carts in a safe manner and within specific time constraints.
• Maintaining the safety and security of the ramp at all times and complies with safety procedures and station policies.
• Reading and verifying the city and flight number for every bag to ensure correct loading of customer bags.
• Assisting the customers with seat availability, gate announcements with regard to the boarding process, flight status, checking and handling baggage, managing and initiating the boarding process.
• Scanning and loading carts for the ramp agents to pick up and unload planes.
• Working outdoors in all types of weather conditions, and around loud aircraft and machinery.
• Working in the vicinity of and between the airport passenger terminals, hangars and airfreight facilities.
