
Public health researcher and program leader (PhD, MPH, Licensed Pharmacist, Midwife) with 16+ years of frontline, managerial, and research experience across GBV prevention, social norms change, and SRH/RMNCAH-N programming within Ethiopia's public health system. Led formative and evaluative research on gendered social norms, intimate partner violence, and adolescent sexual and reproductive health, and designed, implemented, and evaluated donor-funded programs (USAID, GAC) for CPAR, CHAI, and JSI/IFHP — coordinating program, training, and MEL teams to translate evidence into curriculum adaptation and service delivery in real time. Doctoral research developed and proposed a new strategy to enhance adolescent SRH service utilisation in South-East Ethiopia, applying mixed methods approaches; additional research spans maternity waiting home utilisation and child nutrition. Skilled at mobilising, training, and supervising networks of health workers, mentors, and researchers across facility, community, and district levels. Combines clinical acumen, research rigour, and government/stakeholder engagement to deliver equitable, evidence-based GBV and RMNCAH-N solutions in both development and humanitarian contexts. ●Lead formative research on gendered social norms, intimate partner violence, and adolescent SRH for NGO and government clients, converting findings into evidence-based training curricula and program design.
●Advise NGO and government clients on RMNCAH, SRH/GBV, and health systems strengthening strategy, aligning technical recommendations with USAID, GAC, and Ethiopian MOH priorities.
●Design and facilitate capacity-building programs and health worker trainings, and lead evaluations for donor-funded initiatives.
●Author technical reports, funding proposals, and strategic frameworks used by clients to secure and steer donor investment.
