Summary

Enthusiastic senior university lecturer with 13 years’ experience as a soil, water and forestry expert. I currently work as a university researcher, lecturer and head of department, where I teach courses on land degradation and rehabilitation, biodiversity conservation and management and soil and water conservation for both masters and undergraduate students. I also supervise masters and undergraduate students on their proposal writing and research projects. For the past 8 years I have been a collaborator in 3 research projects led by Swedish and German Universities. I have also supervised; coordinated and implemented a land restoration project funded by Foundation Green Ethiopia focusing on Plants for planet strategy and conducted my Master research on this restored land about its carbon sequestration and socioeconomic role.
